Collaborate with AVGN

The early JonTron videos (Daikatana) look and sound like knock-off AVGN videos and make you just want to watch AVGN. Then JonTron suddenly became very funny and unique. Almost as if there was some creative epiphany. AVGN's reviews are fairly straightforward and follow a standard format. JonTron videos (the few that there are) are frenetic and sometimes meander into performance art rather than actually reviewing a game. Juxtaposing the two reviewers would create your standard comedy duo, the angry seriousness of The Nerd, and the wild chaos of JonTron. The Nintendo World Championships episode with Pat the NES Punk was very clever. He should team up with a similar theme. Perhaps SNES Super FX chip games, or perhaps Time Travel games. AVGN could play Time Lord while JonTron plays something like ChronoTrigger or Timesplitters, comparing and contrasting as they go. Then Rich Evans from Game Station 2.0 comes in and absorbs their powers to become Space Cop.

Could help but notice that the only thread on this board, which I just found for the first time, is less than 12 hours old. Shoot though, I don't have much input to give, since I'm not familiar with AVGN.

I did go back and watch Daikatana part 1 a day or two ago though, and yeah, it's clear how far Jon's style has gone since then. Lots of serialized art like TV shows tend to find themselves after a 'season' or so. Jon really broke big once he found his style.

Man, seeing him in that Pepsi commercial gives me hope that he'll break into even bigger business. His low-budget style is part of his show, but that doesn't mean it would be ruined if he were able to move from YouTube to television. Seriously, if he ever gets his own TV show, I'll be watching every episode live.

Just watched the Pepsi commercial after reading your reply. Kinda cool... he should have been the main feature of the commercial.

Honestly so. Most of the comments on the video are about him, even though the title and description don't mention him. It was a pretty cool cameo.

I saw JonTron on Cinemassacre's James and Mike Mondays this morning. It was cool that they ended up collaborating. I wonder if one of them read this (the only thread) for JonTron on IMDB. I hope the guest appearance on James and Mike Mondays is a small bart of a bigger collaboration like a game/movie review.
