MTV is hosting an awards show to honor something called a "music video" ... something that hasn't been seen on MTV in years...wtf??!!!

It baffles me too but I guess idiots gotta find somewhere to gather and wear their good clothes and ball handle one another.

They do still run music videos from about 3-4 in the morning to 6-7. I see where you're coming from though.
As another poster on a different thread said, there are very little awards on this show as well. It's mostly about the performances, and the only interesting one thi s year was P!nk's IMO.
