Good Movie With Terrible Marketing

I dont really post comments or reviews but this one really bugged me so let me put this out there first and foremost...

THIS IS NOT AN MMA MOVIE
While the action was good and there is plenty of it, none of it happens for the first hour. This is obviously going to piss a lot of people off especially since most will come to watch the action. This is a drama being marketed as a mindless B fight flick. (It's still a B movie)

I understand that movie companies needs to get to a certain audience, but they slapped a bunch of tough shirtless dudes on a poster and people are expecting that. I'm not saying the movie is great whatsoever, but I actually enjoyed the fact that I got something that had some substance. Obviously lots of it is cheesy and there's a dozen cliches, but it's good for what it is.

Also, for those who are saying that a tiny flyweight could never beat a heavyweight, watch Royce Gracie or any of the UFC events from the 90s. Big dudes fought tiny dudes every day.

He beat big dudes with BJJ not by punching them and KOing any big guys.

Obviously this would never happen in real life, but it still seemed to be fairly "realistic" (and I use that loosely) enough to make it work by the end of the film.

Maybe the message is that if Anderson Silva trains you, you can do anything lol

Yeah! remember that time Royce Gracie would just knock out guys?

Oh, right. This movie is a bunch of garbage.
