They cancelled Sullivan & Son for this?

Not sure about the new folks making the calls at TBS and TNT. Sullivan & Son was never gonna hit Cheers status, but it was fun and the characters were definitely colorful, odd and funny. Clipped might get better as it goes on, but I'm not blown away, so far. George Wendt's character, along with a couple of the other secondary characters, are interesting, but the two leads are pretty generic and cookie cutterish, at best. They pretty much moved Sullivan & Son into a barber shop and didn't bring the best writers with them. I hope Clipped sorts itself out or it'll make the cancellation of Sullivan & Son harder to take each week.

It started costing more than a rerun. The same fate for this show also.

I kept thinking the same thing as I was watching it!
I loved Sullivan And Son...it was funny...this show not so much. 

I was thinking "this show isn't bad" but then I saw this...Sullivan & Son was a much funnier show. I do see that Clipped has a good place to start from and is not annoying (like Baby Daddy or anything with a Deschanel in it) but certainly not worth the cancellation of a funnier show.

Well there is several factors to look at from the era of Sullivan and Son. There is more other places to view entertainment of shows. Cable movie channels now doing series that pull people from regular ones. But TBS is cable also so can only get so many people to view. It did better than the CW shows. But I wouldn't go dropping below 4 the rest of the shows. Big Bang bumbed there rerun cost up to pay the cast there raise they got. They didn't put all the cost on the commericals. That helps this some I would think in them wanting with it costing less. I can see the push BB is giving them to get rid of this and go back to reruns. They haven't cancelled the Your Family. The producer of that is adding more stuff overseas so I think they will want that show to stay on here.

OK, I gave it a 2nd week. I might have to delete it from my DVR record schedule. This a very watered down, fluff version of Sullivan and Son in a barber shop and it has already run its course. Bring back Sullivan and Son (which won't happen) or just give the slot back to Big Bang Theory.

Granted I'm not a white guy so I have no idea how it may go if they keep this or not.My idea of profit is way different than what like Taylor Swift would say is. I know the rerun cost are higher than before. They didn't pass the cast raise all on just the first shows advertizers. But I also know thre is pitch for shows every year. This could easy go and someone else with something low cost will come up next year. Its the same with the prime channels. A good bunch of them go after just a couple of episodes.

Did they really cancel Sullivan and Son for this? Or did they cancel Sullivan and Son and then bring this in...I can't believe someone at Turner said "Hey, we don't need Sullivan and Son anymore, let's just replace it with Norm at a Barbershop".

I mean seriously, why not keep both? It's not like TBS has a full slate of shows.

I can't believe they even cancelled that show in the first place, but kept on those lamea$$ competition shows as well as some other just awful shows they have on there now. I like Clipped but I'd take Sullivan over this hands down. I miss that show so much.
