I Don't Get The Hate....

Am I missing something?? I find the show to be pretty funny. I mean it does what it is supposed to do. I think people are trying to hold it to the same standards as a lot of these bigger shows which is expecting to much.

It's just supposed to be 30 minutes of silly wacky comedy and jokes which it does well. I don't get why it's so hated tbh...

The last two episodes have been really funny. I am definitely enjoying it.

Because it's fairly bottom of the barrel humour, it's not well written, nothing about any of the characters isn't a giant cartoon. It's designed for people who don't want to think which is fine but it's tedious to watch when there isn't any degree of reality in it and the human quality is lacking...I mean there's no reason to invest in any character.

It's okay. The past couple of episode have been the best. I have a problem with the language, no I don't have a problem with foul language but in a sitcom it just seems out of place

This is what gets me. Raunchy humor/bad language works well in shows like Always Sunny, but it just doesn't work well in this show. Maybe if they ditched the laugh track and didn't try to make every line comedic it would work better.

I don't hate the show (but I don't love it either) but I think it's getting a lot of hate (even before it premiered) because of the promos. Seriously, whoever made the promos for this show needs to be fired! The promos make the show look a lot worse than it really is. I don't think it's the best show (just another typical laugh-track sitcom, many cliches and stereotypes, most of the jokes are unfunny and forgettable, too many fake Boston accents), but it's still not as bad as it looks -the premise is interesting and original, has potential, still entertaining despite the corny lines. I only laugh a little or just crack a smile about 1-3 times per episode.

I like the show but it's not great...just good or ok. There have been better shows that TBS has cancelled.

I don't get the hate either... Most new shows aren't winners out of the gate, but pick up after a couple episodes.. Which this show has imho..

Honestly, anyone who still classifies George Wendt as Norm from Cheers needs get out of the 80's. Same with Carl and the 90's.. Does everyone still call Jaleel White, Urkle? Seriously, grow up...

Now this show is taped before a live audience, and is not a false laugh track which some people may think.

Lastly, as to the promos and early episodes. Keep in mind when they were done, the show was called Buzzy's, not Clipped.. I think they were right to change the name, but it didn't help the PR dept initially..

Just be glad they're finding a stride and hopefully will continue to get better.

As a side note, Sullivan & Sons was originally a network show like Cougar Town, which TBS picked up after the network canned them. S&S just didn't have staying power. Can't blame TBS for it, they tried..

I don't get the hate either, for a summer show, its pretty good to watch. Now that Royal Pains is done for the summer, I watch this. Its funny and I like the characters, its not really special but way better than Sullivan and Son and nearly as good as Men at Work or really its probably tied with that one. With TBS you can't expect major hits. Still really better than bad comedies like Bad Judge.

I just think some people want the BBT reruns to go all day. This got a 5 rating again last Tuesday. I would think by now some renew thing would come up for them to have shows ready in January. The Your Family has been waiting around for the last 2 months on news.
