I thought it was good!!!
I thought Hooligan factory was extremely well directed and fantastically shot, there was some good characterisation and all the acting was top notch, so was the editing.
There was some lovely nods to other films, both versions of "The Firm", Essex Boys, obviously FF and a nice nod to Goodfellas and Casino. It's tough to pull off a spoof of other films because the spoof has to have the same or similar quality to the original and THF did splendidly.
The plot and the characters kept me entertained throughout despite the fact that the laughs ran short at times. I felt that the only real criticism was that it wasn't consistently funny. A couple of times the film lost its way a bit and some loose ends were left dangling, but over all it was a good bit of fun and worth a gander if you are remotely interested in football hooligan films, it was also nice to see the cameos of real hooligans handled well as non-actors can come across as hammy.
I'd be very surprised if Nick Nevern is directing bigger and better things in the future.
