Coincidence? Nope. - Fate? Well. - Nonsense? Pretty sure!

I was going to rate this 6/10, until Michael stumbled into exactly the one abandoned theater of all thousands of theaters in L.A. that Kelly was spontaneously visiting, for no apparent reason and coincidentally at exactly the same moment she was sitting there.

What!??

...

If I missed out on something, please enlighten me.

It would be pretty rare to have a movie like the Kid playing in a theater today and the dead sister had the movie poster on the wall (maybe it was her favorite movie). It sounded like he was pretty messed up about her and loved her, so HE probably wouldn't have missed the showing. She just happened in, but maybe she had noticed the poster and it prodded her to check it out. I thought the movie had much bigger problems than that.

Oh, I totally missed the poster thing (just as assumed).
Have to check up on that, thanks very much for the hint!

Okay, I found the poster – good catch!

So I can totally see now why Kelly chose that movie, as she was obviously trying to connect with Stephanie, but there's still no point for Michael to end up in that theater playing The Kid at the exact same point in time.

Anyway, you proved all this to be not as ridiculous as I thought it to be, so thanks again for defending the movie on that front ... which had other issues for sure, but at least it wasn't so full of itself that I couldn't excuse them ;) I'm just allergic to script faults including excessive implausibitlity, but you corrected that.
