a decent little indy revenge film

I liked it too
If you have a taste for indy crime thrillers 'Uncle John' and 'I Dont Feel at Home in this World Anymore' were pretty enjoyable ones

I Don't Feel at Home in this World Anymore is hilarious!!! This was good too. Not funny, though.

I just saw it tonight, and I agree completely. Actually if a big budget company would have done it, I bet they would have
fucked it up. I give it 8/10. When I return this DVD to Netflix, the next one will be their next movie Green Room.
I'm looking forward to that.

Both very good films. I'm impressed with this writer/director Jeremy Saulnier. In lesser hands we'd be getting tiresome cliches. His characters, however, feel very real, even in extraordinary circumstances.

There's a little bit of that Coen Bros "randomness/messiness of life" that intrudes the best-laid plans.

I agree. They're both gritty, tense and excellent. And yes, there is a touch of the Coen Bros there.

PS Wow! A blast from the past!
