Seen it!!!!

No Wyald but I wasn't surprised because in the Manga his character fits but in the movies he does not.(Still would've been cool to see him though. The movie is about 2 hours long and while it cuts out some things it also stays much more faithful to the manga the the previous 25 part dvd release did. The eclispse is much more terrifying in this movie as well. One of the cool things is the Skull Knight you see his battle with Zodd and when he flies in during the eclipse. It also gives a better ending as well. I hope the next story they go to is the Black Swordsman Arc you can do that on two discs and possibly throw in something more on Guts past. All in all though I want to read and see more Berserk!!!

I also saw it and loved it. I would be extremely upset if they didn't continued beyond the Golden Age Arc... Everyone who watched it, please buy the dvds/blurays to support the continuation of this amazing series! I own the original tv series, but I'm also buying the movies to support the company. Let our voices be heard, we want to see more!

Agreed, i like the tiny segment after the credits that shows guts putting on all his black swordsmen armour and he also has the dragon slayer sword. Defiantly a huge hint towards a continuing series of films.
They did however have a similar clip at the end of the anime series with guts doing the exact same thing and we all know that didnt go anywhere.

I read somewhere that the creators of the films are defiantly keen to make another 3 part lot of films but not for a while.
We can only hope.

I waited this long since the ending of the original anime series to see the story move beyond the eclipse which it thankfully did in this version.
It actually stayed very true to the comic in these parts, almost shot for shot.

One other thing which i wished for was they use the original anime score especially for the eclipses segment.
In the anime the score made it feel like a true nightmare on epic proportions and also truly sad at the same time, while in the movie it got down played a lot by the choice of music.
Not saying it was a bad choice but it felt kind of lacking?
What do you guys think in that regard?

I liked the original music better as well.

The song "murder" by susumu hirasawa was perfect for the eclipse...its too bad they couldnt remix it somehow, but besides that...the movie was extremely well done, poignant, and raw...just the way i hoped it would be...the only dissapointment was how Judeau died...they didnt really show too much that he was in love with caska...it was a key element.

I was upset with this too, but then you have to remember they cut out almost all the interactions with the other characters to fit in the battle scenes. It's unfortunate the first 2 films were so short, or maybe they could have fit those subplots in. They also surprisingly had very little with Zodd and Skull Knight. This film made me want to know more about Skull Knight though! Hopefully the manga gets into it eventually... if it ever starts again. Though it was beautifully done, gory, brutal, the CGI didn't annoy me as much... I still felt it was a little empty, because watching Pippin, Judeau, Corkus, getting killed, without the interactions from earlier, it just felt pointless.

Loved seeing Puck. Loved the Black Armor montage. Loved the metamorphosis part the best I think with Griffith turning into Femto. I was so curious to see how they'd do that, and was even worried it would also be skipped over. It wasn't, and it was so gorgeously done I had my jaw open the whole time.

I was also shocked they had Guts get so close to Griffith while raping Casca, I wonder why they added that but cut other things. Seemed strange to me. Btw, did anyone else cringe with Guts' arm ripping off, that was so graphic :@

They are one person, They are two alone, They are three together, They are for each other
