Big fan of Berserk

Loved the movie trilogy and the graphics, and the messages of the movie are for those with a keen eye, it takes truly alot of concentration to understand Griffiths personality and his struggle to achieve his dream, there are hints along the series which u see from time to time.
But overall I gotta say I loved the 25 episodes more than the movie. I've almost read the whole manga, thought I got bored after Chapter 30 so I took a break.

One thing I missed in the Eclipse scene is the transformation of Griffith becoming a demon, which the movie didnt include, he is suppose to keep on falling til he reaches the very darkness created by mankind itself which speaks to him and ask Griffith what he wants. I think that is a cool part of the Eclipse in the manga.

Hope they continue with the series because Everything from the beginning to the Eclipse is just really an introduction to Berserk, like the movie said at the end of the movie "This is only the beginning" and for those who have read the manga you know how true that is there is alot more to know about Berserk.

Giving movie trilogy 7/10
Giving series 1st season 10/10

Agreed 100%

Except for being kind of unnecessary, I can find only two flaws in this version:

-The completely unnecessary prolonged rape scene

-The idea of Skull Knight helping Guts. Him surviving on his own makes him more of a badass. Actually, trey nerfed him a lot in this version.

Also, I don't quite remember Kaska surviving in the previous version?

In the Manga the rape scene is longer. The Skull Knight saving Guts and Casca also comes from the Manga as Guts and Casca would have been killed if he had not rescued them. In the Previous Anime of Berserk they cut out the Skull Knight altogether leaving you to wonder how he survived at all based on where it ends.

I guessed that much. But I still prefer the version without Scull Knight

Agree, the ending of the series was very dark and haunting, I preferred Casca not to survive and Guts making it on his own. Still, even in the movies the story and characters are so great it doesn't really matter. Besides, Guts really doesn't know how to deal with apostles so any help from the Skull knight at that point is accepted.
