The scenes

I am a big fan of Berserk (the manga first and foremost but also the series). although I'm not a big fan of the digital animation style that is so popular these days I do agree that it does have some great advantages to its visual display over the "old school style" of drawing; but that to the side.

I am puzzled by the choices they made regarding what to show in the second part of the Golden Age Arc. Skipping so much of the character/story driven scenes yet focusing "heavily" (i.e. spending more time than necessary) on such things like the ball and the sex scene ... For me this was a let down, because Berserk is so much more. But if you cut so much out of it it will not be the masterpiece it truly is.

I am hoping that they keep the essence of Berserk in the third part of TGAA and that they do not skip as much in the (hopefully) coming sagas (the Retribution Saga/Conviction Saga being my favourite; "If you meet your God, tell him to leave me the hell alone" being my favourite Guts line ;) ).

Finally: I'm glad they are making more Berserk for us fans. But treat it with the respect it deserves! Thanks!

I think for as limited as their time is, they do a good job. Thank bloody God at least that this movie is a little bit longer. The first one being only and hour and 17 minutes... what the *beep* was that about?

I definitely agree with you about the ball though.... that little dance number was one of the most excruciating scenes I've ever seen. Not only was it garrish and unelegant but the music was atrocious -- sounded like someone trying to play medieval music on a freaking midi synth, completely inauthentic.

Can you help me out. Why did the old guy act betrayed by Griffith during the end of the battle. What did I miss?
