who threw themselves out of the bridge towards the end of the movie? There was a sequence of different shots and at one point we saw somebody with a bag over their head throwing themselves off a bridge and the very next shot is four nuns dressed in black, running. Was that the nun who appeared frequently in the movie?

The convent nuns running in the next shot are young; none of them includes Sister Maria (called "the saint"), who is next seen crawling up St. John's Basilica's Scala Sancta.
This brief sequence of two shots is, I think, to suggest the beginning of another day in the life of Rome, so as to contrast with and highlight two other events that are far from ordinary, and are in fact personal climaxes - the saint's crawl up the stairs at the completion of her journey, and Jep's sea journey to finally confront a significant event in his past.
