I watched half an hour of this thing and did not see anything of beauty. A great many ugly people, a few bits of boring scenery, Enough!
I cannot see how this movie even got produced, much less won an Oscar. Is it supposed to be some kind of inside joke?
I'm not sure if you're joking (specially because of how attractive the actors are), but I'll answer anyway. The title doesn't really refer to the visual style of the movie; it refers to the beauty of life. JEP says it very clearly: He's been looking for it, but only at the end he realizes it was there all along but he couldn't see past all the uglyness of life.

The party scene in the beginning is referring to the "wildlife on the balcony" which is directly related to the flamingos which appear on his balcony in the 3rd act of the film. The film is about life and what is the true meaning of beauty in this life and how does one go about finding it.
If you are looking for a film about Italian stereotypes (beautiful food, beautiful architecture, beautiful clothes, beautiful tuscany, beautiful beaches and people in aprons cooking pasta just like "mama's cooking" -- then this is probably not the film for you). I will not try to convert your preferences for film on a Internet board. There are lots of films out there and you will find the one you like.

In one scene Jep takes Ramona to a private home owned by an elderly princess. It filled with museum quality Roman and Greek art and statutes. A man who had keys to these places takes them around. He tells Ramona, who asks him, that he is trustworthy and thus has keys to places like this.

is beauty like a Lenin statue in URSS.. :) , with this. we mask the ignorance, which cannot be filled with study or money ( like the neoclassical NY skycrapers, WHY !! )
is only a mask, the really beauty is enjoy the life without the struggle for money and success.
In general the actors were not young as the film was about a 65 year old - is you measure of beauty based upon youth? Regardless of the the people though I fail to see how you could not see the beauty in this film - almost every scene was packed with beauty.
