Indian Version of the movie ' VANILLA SKY'

I doubt the originality of a movie concept these days. Today everything is inspired from something else. I know even Vanilla Sky was inspired from some other movie. But at least in the west they don't hide that fact.

If the story writer and screenplay writer of this movie says this is original, then I guess it is original. I guess we will never know the truth.

But I have to say the similarity to the movie Vanilla Sky. Especially things like Tom Cruise jumping from the building and the actor in this movie doing the same.

If any Indian Director would have Indianised a movie like Vanilla Sky, this should be the end result, otherwise the movie would be super FLOP.

Still I am rating this movie story concept 9 out of 10. Rating for the screenplay is 6 out of 10. Direction part of the movie is only to me 5 out of 10. Could have been directed by someone better. All in all I wouldn't rate this movie more than 6.6 in IMBD.

Lucia isn't very much like Vanilla Sky (which isnt just inspired by another movie, but is literally a scene-by-scene recreation of Abre Tus Ojos) at all. The one specific thing that you said was similar between the two was that an actor jumps off a building. That happens in a lot of movies. Of course nothing is truly original, but it seems like your just looking for excuses to insult a very good movie that is much more innovative than almost anything seen in the United States for a long time.

Abre Tus Ojos and Lucia are totally different.
