Its not entertaining watching a miserable bitch treat people like shit

Cause thats all Jessica does, she mopes around acting moody, drinking, wearing the same dirty clothes everyday and nearly everyone she comes in contact with she treats them like shit. Theres nothing to like about her, shes constantly in a state of depression, shes never happy and shes a moody sarcastic bitch to everyone and everything she comes in contact with.

But she has a pussy-pass. It's her main superpower.

reply

It's not just her. Jessica is awful, Trish is awful, and don't care about either of their awful mothers. Hogarth is awful. They all treat everyone awful. Don't care about Jessica's assistant. Not even interesting enough to remember his name. That's all the show is. Awful characters having awful interactions with other awful characters.

She is a bitch to everyone? Sounds very fun to me!

Two things this show helped to bring home to everyone who watched:

1) Stop drinking, and do not start drinking. Its a waste of your time and hurts who you are.

2) Stop making bad decisions, have the discipline and self respect to make better choices for your life.

There are too many times people had chances to improve, and some were improving their life, just ot throw it all away over some bad choices...it became frustrating to watch this show. But I finished it. The very last scene of the show was positive

Yeah, this show was intended to be some happy, popcorn-friendly entertainment. Just another reminder of how I'm so frustrated that Marvel halted these netflix shows. They could touch topics without having to worry about the branding of the MCU.

I dont get the aggression from your first sentence, its unnecessary and a waste of time.

All these shows were a nice change of pace and allowed us to see more difficult subject matter than the movies. I rate Daredevil and The Punisher the highest out of all of them. They too had some people making bad choices but nowhere near the level Jessica Jones had. It is difficult to watch people screw up their lives when you see that around you in the real world on a regular basis. There also was too many evil people in the show that didnt get their comeuppance. Another contention is that it takes some time to see that some of our main characters are evil people. When the main characters continually do terrible things it reaches a point where you have trouble rooting for them at all. Jessica Jones was still worth rooting for, but her companions...they became despicable.

*wasn't intended

Typo lol. Not sure if they changes your reading of its aggression, but yeah.

Thank you for your response.

In your opinion, which of the netflix marvel shows was the best one?

reply

I hadn't watched them all, but I actually did prefer JJS1 out of JJS1, LCS1, DD1 and 2, and Defenders. But I loved all of them that I saw, except for Defenders.

I understand your frustration with watching JJ though. As brilliant as I think it was written, it's hard for me to recommend it to people because it really is just watching people making bad decisions over and over again, and even when they try to do good, it just doesn't work out. I mean, Jessica' primary goal basically evaporates 80% into the show iirc when the Starlight chick offs herself. lol I could see that killing anyone's motivation in trying to finish the show at that point.

What about you?

reply

Out of those you wrote, DareDevil Season One I enjoyed the best. I notice you didnt write about Punisher? You might like punisher. Frank Castle doesnt appear until season two of DD though, so you wont get into punisher unless you've seen season two of DD.

So Far I have seen season one of all the marvel's defenders netflix shows and I rate DD the highest, while rating Iron Fist the lowest. I didnt like Luke Cage as much mainly because of how much I dislike the villian Mariah (the wannabe senator lady) she was truly despicable as well. Cottonmouth was an interesting villian that died too soon.

Defenders failed to measure up. It wasnt worth watching all these shows just to see Defenders. I made a post about defenders you may wanna check out. https://moviechat.org/tt4230076/The-Defenders/61a1b794a5f59a34fe9213ec/I-dont-want-to-be-negative-but-this-show-failed-at-delivering-an-epic-tie-in

I liked Jessica Jones for the Private Investigator type of stories and that world in general. It had enough positives for me to finish the show...but it was difficult xD its like "how many times are yall gonna continue poor choices that you KNOW arent good for your life and those around you. Jessica was the one who made the best choices out of them all! Except maybe the neighbor who was trying to better himself for his daughters sake, he was good people too.

Oh I saw DD2, but yeah I just stopped watching after Defenders, period. It's been suggested I check out DD3, and I'll probably give Punisher a look. I really liked how he did the role in DD2.

lmao Cottonmouth was fantastic, and he gets replaced with Diamondback, this sad parody of Samuel L Jackson. I didn't really care too much about Mariah either. Yeah, the first half of Luke Cage was much stronger, but I appreciated it all as a whole.

Yeah, I love the whole PI, noir setting myself. I really liked Jessica Jones cause it really dove into the whole sexual assault metaphor which I thought was pretty well done without being too cheesy or on-the-nose. Fun cast of characters. Kilgrave is fantastic. But yes, it's really painful to watch lol.

reply

I definitely thought it was entertaining.
