Trish Walker... Oh mai Gawwwd...(Season 3 - Spoiler warning)

Is this basic blonde bitch supposed to become a Hellcat?

Admittedly, I'm not thru the 2nd season but OMFG is she annoying as fuck.
This bitch is literally making excuses to be relevant to the story...FFS!!!
Every time they switch to her it's like I switch a channel to the "First World Problems" - TV Series. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

reply

Ok, I'm done with the season 2 and I have to admit.

SHE'S THE F*CKING C*NT VILLAIN.

It also doesn't help the fact that she has THE MOST PUNCHABLE FACE IN THE UNIVERSE.

She's that 3rd wave FEMINAZI bitch who just can't be possibly happy for Jess, EVER....

reply

Is season 2 worth watching then?

I liked the first season but the whole The Defenders thing put me off of JJ.

reply

You know, I loved everything that built up to The Defenders but during that show, I got weary of Jessica's constant "I don't need anyone and I'm not being a part of your team" attitude. You got to where you wanted to scream SHUT UP every time she opened her mouth.

reply

Yeah trish is a Bïtch

reply

A very irritating character. Not sure what her boyfriend Griffin (who is hard as hell to understand) sees in her.

reply

Whew!!! Griffin dodged a "cray crack whore" bullet for sure.

Can you imagine ANY SANE guy proposing to a woman who's been spotted blowing club owners for crack in a dirty bathroom?

reply

Well, Griffin is a manipulative and controlling asshole, so he has problems as well, and therein lies their attraction. He ambushed Trish with that wedding proposal. My first thought was the scene of Hamish proposing to Alice in Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland. The woman was being given no say in the matter! Trish is/was a crack whore, but she had the gumption to refuse Griffin’s proposal, and the tact and brains to do it in a way that did not castrate him in front of the event’s guests. A proposal is not a freaking EVENT. It is an exceptionally intimate and private moment between two people.

reply

Not sure whats she supposed to become but she definitely made this seasons pretty much unwatchable. I get they tried to make the character like that, I mean we had Janice in Sopranos that you just wanted to shoot yet she was an excellent character, but Trish was just idiotic and created poorly.
And it doesnt help the whole season is very bad. It doesnt go anywhere, its so slow, theres nothing to draw you to the next episode, no tension or anticipation.
Just...so...effing...BLAH.

reply

Exactly.

reply

I actually like her in season one as she seemed to care for Jessica but she was freaking annoying in season 2, I wish they would have gone a different route instead on focusing on side characters this season. that and the lack of a good villain made for a very weak part 2.

reply

I have to say, I have not watched S2 at anywhere near the pace I did with S1 and I think Trish is primarily to blame. I just can't stand her character. She makes it seriously off putting and I find myself watching other stuff instead of finishing this.

reply

Just finished S02.

Yeah they definitely seem to be going with the Trish is flawed angle. I don't know if i like her anymore, and maybe the writers are trying to bring her 'down' to Jessica's level.

Trish should understand the nuances of family and left that she alone. She went in half cocked thinking Jessica had been kidnapped, but then seemed to realise she hadn't and that she was making the choice for he greater good.

When in part, she was just fulfilling her hero complex. I wonder is she'll go power crazy now since she seems to have crazy reflexes and decide, like Malcolm, that she doesn't need Jessica anymore.

reply

She only started acting like that when she got on the super-huff. Started acting all spun out and aggro. Pretty good consistency on the show in that regard. I look forward to her being Hellcat. Only the subplots were interesting in S2, hers included.
