Why All The Hate?

The movie's not even out yet and people are venomously hating on it.

I've watched the trailer about five times so far - Kutcher's resemblance to Jobs is uncanny. Give the guy a chance - true he's not a great actor, but he might just find his stride with this one.

Not sure what you're talking about. The movie has had several screenings. Likewise, it's common for people to judge a movie before they see it. It's kind of the point of marketing efforts: Create desirability in people so they want to go see it.

Gotta get off the internet. Who gives a *beep* what these losers on imdb think?

Give the guy a chance

as if he needed a chance, I think he is a bit too millionaire, too famous and quite overrated now as to be considered someone who needs a chance in anything

true he's not a great actor,

I dont think he is an actor, not more than any other random people could be.

Apparently the critics think the movie is very bad too. From the looks of the trailer and considering the time they first announced the movie it was obvious that this was just a quick cash grab based on Steve Jobs death.

Critics also praised forgettable films like "Winter's Bone" and Resnais' "Wild Grass". What do they know?

Movie has been out since the beginning of the year. Wake up and join the rest of the world you weirdo!

Edit: My bad it has been out since January 25, 2013, not January 1, 2013 for the smarty pants on this website.

It was screened in January at Sundance - that's not really a release...maybe a few viewings if even more than one...

General release was this month...

How come whenever someone expresses distaste for a movie there's always someone calling them a hater?
Can't people just dislike a movie without actually hating anything or anyone.
Maybe, just maybe, if we all quit paying to see and staunchly defending crappy movies then just maybe Hollywood will stop making them.

Good acting is fine, but the scuttlebutt seems to be that the production and writing were rushed and made it seem more like a TV movie.

reply

Because Jobs was an *beep* *beep* him.
