I loved season 1 of True Detective. And since then, haven't really run across anything that had that same feel.
Until I saw Hell or High Water. I think part of it is that the setting feels like its own character, which is one thing that I loved about TD. And the acting is phenomenal.
Did anyone else get similar vibes? Or is it just me? :)
No but I'm sure your not the only one out there that feels this way. Season One is Phenomenal and season Two couldn't touch it and the main reason was Season one had only one Director Cary Joji Fukunaga who is a genius and season two had multiple directors when it should of only had one, Cary Joji Fukunaga.
shareWith Season 2, I just didn't like the cast. Too many 'main' characters stretched the plot too thin. It felt like it was trying too hard to get an audience by the people in the cast.
I only watched a few episodes. Found it really boring. Season 1 had me hooked within 2 minutes.
