do you remember when Danny always said that he's protecting Jo?
do we know what he was talking about? or was that he knew about jo & charlie connection? or maybe we don't know and will never know :(
We'll never know since they cancelled the show. Maybe people can make up their own ending for the show.
What do we remember from the show that would possibly give us clues to what he was protecting her from? Maybe I'll start another thread to ask that.

I think that Danny wanted to protect Jo from his father because he knew what kind of a person his father was and with everything he did he didn't want to burden her or hurt her. He always loved her even when he was with Lacey and he just wanted her happy and safe. After what happened with his dad and especially when Charlie came into the picture he was more determined then ever to keep her safe. I think that he was afraid of Charlie on some level. Cause if you watch him in the flashback where he first meets Charlie you can see that he already has a black eye so obviously he's already been in some kind of fight and the way that he pulls back when Charlie is brought into the cell you can tell he's nervous. I wish we'd learned more about what Danny went through in Juvie b/c so much of his youth was spent there and he was obviously a very different and closed off person when he came back so there had to be something that changed him. As far as the protective thing I think he just cares deeply for everyone in his life and wants them kept safe and happy.
