It is clear from the beginning where the movie is going, but the actors do a great job playing their characters.

Unbelievably corny. These Hallmark productions keep getting more and more ridiculously sappy. Is it owned by the Mormons or what?

If they would have stuck to the actual plot of the book it would have been adorable.

I'm a sucker for the corny Hallmark Christmas made-for-TV movies. They are running them in July right now and I'm glued to it. My guilty pleasure. My husband loves them as well (but he only watches them at Christmas time).

Life's a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death!

Yep, they just showed this on Hallmark. I think the dog that played "Olive" nearly stole the show a couple of times.

and much better than the usual Hallmark fare.

I fully agree, TVK. It's a very sweet movie!

Btw: the actress who played Cara? I could swear I saw her, as an uncredited extra in a sexy blue dress, dancing at a Xmas party in THE SOUND OF CHRISTMAS.
