I don't see mental illness and financial/career disorder as being "teenage" (as a categorical term) related or unrealistic. Youthful, maybe.

Just a dumb movie, IMO. Like those parents wouldn't have judged her "hooker" clothes. She just walks out of a mental hospital?

It really is that easy to walk out of a mental hospital. It's a hospital, not prison.
