The two episodes shown so far contained so much padding they could have been compressed into one. Also Rupert P-J is clearly older than Shaun so they are unconvincing as uni mates.

Yes, RPJ is 10 whole years older than SE, which makes for ludicrous casting as uni chums. Why is realistic casting so impossible?
Also, both of the men are such unpleasant people it's hard to care about either one of them. Not that caring about the main characters is a requirement, but it makes for more pleasant viewing. :)
So far (two episodes in) I think it's very well done, good acting, hints thrown about here and there that keep the viewer intrigued.

Why is that so hard to believe? I befriended many people over a decade older than me in Uni, and have kept in touch with some of them. Not all Uni students are 18-21, mature students were common in the late 90s than ant any other time
