shareI took your advice and watched it. Pretty good. It's a black comedy which I like. Plus, David Cross from Mr. Show with Bob and David. Much better than "Goodbye to 90 minutes of your life".

Other than the setting I don't see any real comparison. I would agree that It's A Disaster is better, but not by much. It's A Disaster is a black comedy whereas Goodbye World is a drama. Alas Goodbye world felt like a feature length soap opera and brought nothing new to table.
"Be the change you want to see in the world"
Yet, It's a Disaster was much better at depicting how the stress of such an incident (terrorist attack that causes panic) could exacerbate personal problems. I constantly felt like the interpersonal dilemmas in Goodbye World just seemed petty and minuscule in the grand scheme of things, while It's a Disaster had a much better feeling of embedding them.

Seems like the writer of Goodbye World watched It's A Disaster and was 'inspired' to make a dramatic version
But somewhere along the line he didnt know if he was making a comedy with flat jokes or a drama evolving a bunch of whiners who all seemed to end up with the wrong spouse
Or both
Either way I like It's A Disaster. Fun movie to watch and rewatch
