The End of the Movie

The last line of the movie is Bud offering Lutin some coffee after being told he has an hour with him. Did anyone else get the impression that instead of putting Lutin away, Bud was seeking to turn him to catch an even bigger fish, as he had just done with Jesse?

Yeah I got the same impression.
I guess there are always bigger fish to fry.

It's the harbour towns that the grey metal ships call home.

I got the impression Bud was going to interrogate Luton like he did the guy at the beginning, and by that I mean beat him up.
