What's the music like?

Curious what anyone out there who has seen the movie can tell me about the music. I consider myself a Christian in my own way, but I'm a bit old school in my taste in spiritual music. I like the traditional stuff. That's not to say I'm not open to music that may be relatively new. I love a Catholic folk mass with guitar music. But I’m not too crazy about Christian songs that practically sound the same as secular top-40 love songs except the lyrics have God in them.

I'm also not a big fan of the modern praise style of worship. I know it’s all about praising God whatever the style. But all those repetitious saccharine phrases just don't make it for me. Sorry if I'm stepping on anyone's toes, but that's my opinion.

So anyway, I don’t want to pre-judge without having seen the movie. But given my feelings about music as described, am I likely to enjoy this?

I found the music beautiful. You won't hear the Baptist type songs that get you dancing in the street; however, the songs at the church are really nice. I feel you should see the movie and then get back with us as to whether you like it. The main song, "Misunderstood" is a pop song.

Yeah, like I say, I'm more of a traditional music guy. Since I first made the OP, my sister has since told me she like this movie quite a lot. Of course, I already knew her taste ran more to the contemporary style. But I'm always in favor of keeping an open mind, so I'll give the movie a try some time.
