Basically he plays poker in disguise and is winning big, when the table hits the bad beat jackpot. It would have been $30,000 just for sitting at the table, but with the scrutiny he would have been caught, so he leaves the place and forfeits not only the $30,000 but his chips on the table in the cash game.
