Wow, I would watch a six hours version of this movie if I could.

What a charming, lovely, chill-out movie.
Ben and Ryan have a great "bromance" chemistry, I really cared about their flawed characters.
The entire road-movie aspect, and the way these american regions were filmed, giving off that Edward Hopper paintings vibe and all...
It's an inteligent movie that just feels... cozy? And it feels very timeless, too. I could be watching this in half a century from now, and still feel it's charm.

Anyone else impressed? I'm just glad they still make films like this... Shame it never really found a wide audience, I thought Ben Mendelsohn gave a performance worthy of critical spotlight.

I'm not from the US, by the way, so it's not like I liked it because of the culture or locations. Heck, I can't even play poker.

Yes! Great little movie. Loved it.

It's such a meaningless word, "watchable"...but I find both of these actors endlessly watchable.

Like you, I could have watched another hour of the road trip, the talking, the interactions. Honestly I didn't have the heart or stomach, though, for another scene of Ben Mendelsohn's character's desperation. His acting in that horse race scene was so off the charts: tense, desperate, terrified. It's too intense for me, addiction.
