boring and dramatic, movie was too dark and depressing.

As far as horror movies goes this was not that bad, the santa suit looked great, the sets looked good. They got pretty good actors....but.....

But this movie gave everyone such a sad or awkward story and it became too negative.
How can I enjoy this movie about Santa going crazy when I am worrying about the Cop girl and what happened to her boyfriend. (Or why she lives with her parents, or why did she had a problem shooting her gun?)

Also, Why did they have to add the revenge to the dad?
Why couldn't the person that took out Santa's dad be Sheriff Cooper? Why did they had to make it be the dad? There was no reason for that.
(It would have made more sense to have Cooper be the one that took out the bad santa in the flashback because of how he acted)The set up was PERFECT for that, Cooper was a jerk and it would have fit better.

None of this was fun or campy, I felt like I was watching a Lifetime Movie at times with so much Drama they added to the story. I was expecting a movie where everyone was an idiot or acted like the priest or the porn people.

But Instead they had to make the Aubrey character SO dramatic. It just made me feel sad for her.

This felt like they wanted to make a movie a mix between Jack Frost or Killer Klowns (Something campy and silly) And at the same time make a serious horror movie like Hills Have eyes or Texas Chainsaw.
(I certainly felt both types of horror)

but at the end they just made this too serious for its own good, but the story is too dumb to be taken seriously.
It is neither fun and campy or serious and scary. It gets totally lost in between and becomes a big mess. They were colliding too much.

Like I said, I was more Worried about Audrey and wanted to know more about her life,

right....

My problem with it was there's no likeable characters and the humor is not funny.

...There's also no suspense or build. It's just overly dark and the killer hacking up people for shock value

Sorry thought this was a horror film. That's the problem with most of these new horror films, too many lame jump scares, SyFy channel quality production values, and just too damn campy. I welcome the tone of this film.
