Would have been more enjoyable and better if not a "Leprechaun" movie

It had potential to be a good horror movie, but the fact that it had to do with the leprechaun kinda ruined it. It was tense and creepy, but some things were too cliche or dumb. I think it would have been better if it were a different monster, or maybe if they'd shown us the mine that the townspeople found gold in.

I was also bothered a bit by how easy it was for her to kill the leprechaun, but the ending seemed like there were more than one.

EDIT: Another thing I didn't like was the leprechaun's POV. Like, what is he? The Predator?

The creature doesn't even look like Leprechaun at all. He looks more like Goblin. At least the one in the other Leprechaun films look like actual Leprechaun!

Think of it as its own movie. If you think of it as its own spin on the Leprechaun story then it's actually a very enjoyable watch.

Been a few years since I've seen it, but I remember the "Leprechaun" being the weak link.

As I recall at the time, there were at least some of the actors/characters I liked who played the teenagers, but am struggling to remember enough to single individual ones out for praise.

Just the actual Leprechaun bit felt poor/boring. If they'd have had a more interesting villain, it could've been better.

Weren't it a WWE film? Which was why Hornswaggle was there. WWE Studios don't really understand, or don't care to understand, how to do good horror movies. It was like they just wanted to trade on the Leprehcaun name. They didn't understand that it was the humour and charisma of Warwick Davis that made the original movies so entertaining. And, even if they wanted to go a different direction, they didn't have anything to replace the humour with. The way this movie was set up, the villain had to be interesting, prominent and possibly a bit dark. It was none of these things, and it kind of killed the whole thing.
