What was the deal with the watch?

What was the deal with the watch? She gets a text from who turns out to be her father, gets angry, and drowns the watch in the sink. Whose watch was it?

If you remember, Olivia Wilde told Liam Neesom that she got him a gift, too, but she didn't know if he deserved it so she would give it to him later. The watch was the gift she bought him, but she was angry with him so she threw the watch in the sink.

Which made no sense to me as she had just come back from the night of dancing at the club and seemed to have had a great time. Then a text from her father and she drops the watch in the sink...

If you got the connection between her and her father then you would know why she did it. She was translating her feelings towards her father to her relationship with Michael.

We're running around like we don't care
It's gonna leave its mark somewhere.

... then later, she salvages the watch and it appears on Neeson's arm. He comments that it's damp.

The moment she opened the watch from the box I knew it was a Baume & Mercier.. :p, I couldnt tell why she threw it in the sink either as she had a nice time with Neeson.. I figured it's a gift for him, but the anger was confusing. It kinda makes sense now, that she was angry at herself some-how, due to her, erhmm.. "arrangement" with her dad and how it was very similar to her feelings for Neeson.. Which probably made her feel screwed up..
