Talented Mr Ripley

I think the plot was stolen from Talented My Ripley - jealousy, obsession with best friend, scheming, wanting to be part of the family, telling lies, falling out resulting in death of best friend and seeking reward from parents of friend - except he got caught and Ripley didn't. Talented My Ripley so much better of course.
