Are we supposed to believe this guy is a real mob-type guy in Chicago? Or are we supposed to be smart enough to realize he's a made up character for the show? Would a real mobster plaster his face all over national TV? Would he pull a mob-style intimidation on TV? Would he really send a guy out with a hotdog cart with no permit, and spoiled meat and buns? And what about the producers of this show? Surely they would know better than to let Wayne go out like that? And how about that camera shot as he approached the shop. How did they know he was coming?

On another point, I was wondering. Is this Wayne guy retarded? Or is he just a little short of 100 IQ points? Seriously. I was wondering.

Of course not. This show is about as real as a three dollar bill. They can't make it any more obvious.

I'll tell you one thing that is real. That girl ( Elyse ? Is that her name? ) is REAL hot. Cute as hell! Love that slim figure!

Sadly this hot dog story was more interesting than some of the storylines I've seen on on non reality shows.

This show gets more obviously scripted as it goes along. I hate to even bring this up, since it's been long established that shows like this are scripted.

In this show's case, they probably started out with some reasonable storylines. Then the ratings weren't that good, and the producers came up with the idea that they need more outlandish plots, like bringing in mobster characters since it's Chicago and all. Something to set them apart from the other pawn shows.
