Why the Hell are they Cancelling this Brilliant Show?????

It's one of the top 2 shows on television (the other being "The Affair"). The acting is stellar.

Why the Hell did HBO give it only three seasons?????

Is it really over though? I know they called the last episode "series finale", but I thought the last episode of season-2 was also advertised as the "series finale". I hope it'll be renewed by someone, if not HBO. It's a brilliant show.
