Nooo! Please don't cancel this show!!

I just found out this is the last season and I'm devastated. I had seen it on in the past and for some reason didn't think I'd be into it, and caught the marathon a few weeks ago before season 3 aired and fell in love with it. It is just so well written, so well acted right down to the tiniest guest appearances, and SO FUNNY! But at the same time it's also moving and heartfelt. I'm sure no one at HBO reads these, but I can dream....please don't end this show!!!

I agree. It was especially brilliant when Dr Pippa and Sr Den showed up in the last episode. Laurie metcalf, niecy nash, and Alex botstein are really a great team and yeah it's dark comedy and slow burn but one of the most fantastic comedies I have seen in a long time!

I just found out its the last season and am also devastated. Probably my favorite comedy on next to Veep but this such a relaxing show and DiDi is such a wonderfully developed character. Come on HBO , at least make the last season 10 episodes !

I just came here to opine that Laurie Metcalf should have won Best Actress in a Comedy Series for the past three years, both for the Emmys and Golden Globes. I am SICK of seeing Julia Louise Dreyfuss win for Veep. Metcalf is nothing short of BRILLIANT with every line she utters...her eye gestures alone are worthy of watching the entire show.

And Nash and Boort should have been collecting all the best supporting actress awards.

And now I read that this BRILLIANT show is being cancelled????? Unvelievable. I was just thinking about the actress Ann Gilbert, and how sad it was that they had her die.....realistic, I guess, but nonetheless so very sad.

I hope Showtime picks it up. It's much too good to be taken off the air.

The Emmy's can blow sometime. Jon Hamm got screwed a billion times

Laurie Metcalf gave one of the best performances of her career in that last episode.

I agree, she is magnificent. She brings so much humanity to her character with the most subtle movements and expressions. I am blown away by her. The entire cast its just incredible.

I also agree with you about the awards. Dreyfuss is fun to watch, but Metcalf's performance is in another league.

I've been so disappointed with HBO. First this show is cancelled then Togetherness. Both perfectly written shows with perfect actors. I couldn't agree more, Laurie Metcalf deserved an award for her part in this show, UGHHHH! Why oh why HBO!!!!????

I know! It has gotten better each season and the acting is superb. What a disappointment!

I know, I hate that it is gone, but it was based on a British show. They do things different there, they don't milk a series for all it's worth like they do here.

Three short seasons was probably about right for this show.

Still, a few more episodes in the final season would have been OK by me.
