Streaming anywhere?

There will be a screening of the movie at the 48th Annual Winkie Convention in Pacific Grove, California on July 28th, 2012. For more information about the convention, check out this link: http://on.fb.me/PCIXk3

This version of the film will not be on DVD for some time, but there are plans to release the film digitally on Netflix and possibly iTunes in the fall.

So is there any difference between the theatrical version and the series?

reply

Yes. The mini-series version (THE WITCHES OF OZ) is two hours and forty-five minutes long. The theatrical version (DOROTHY AND THE WITCHES OF OZ) is one hour and forty minutes long. The theatrical has 90% re-done visual effects, and the dialogue and score is much clearer. Also, the theatrical is presented in its original format, which is anamorphic widescreen. The mini-series is reduced to a smaller aspect ratio, so you lose a lot of the image.

Has anyone heard an update on whether they are going to stream or release the theatrical version?
