So, only 25 minutes in...

I cannot believe the ridiculousness of the film so far. Starting off with the adoptive mother's speech impediment or lisp that she has randomly throughout the first 25 minutes. Her voice reminds me of The Bride of Chucky. I also find it strange that the social worker was not a bit more concerned when she called about the biological father "stalking" the family and their newly adoptive child. No matter his "legal" rights to the child or not, suggesting that if he rings the doorbell they "invite him for tea or slam the door in his face" and it doesn't matter, seems odd. I also find it odd that the police nor anyone else seemed slightly concerned about this either, I'm sure this man was on parole or probation having been just released from prison on a violent crime. The entire film is just beyond stupid, and it's a shame since the trailer had potential as well as did the storyline had it been done correctly.

I'm just floored by the ignorance of everyone; adoptive parents, the social workers, the police, the extended family... And I'm questioning the competence of the writers of the film too.
