I loved the first season (voted 8) and the second (voted 7). Will there be a third season?

I'd be interested to know, too. I loved season 1, but the second wasn't so good.

I came on here to find out if there is to be a third season too! Although at the end of S2 I kinda thought it looked a bit like they'd concluded it...sadly. Loved it, one of the best dramas I've seen

There will be a third (and final) season. HBO will also do a remake for The States.

"The second season is kind of the aftermath of the war – the war within the family – a new order has been established," says Dyrholm. "The first season was about where you come from, and the second season is how you live with that, and the third season should be something about what kind of imprint you leave."

There's going to be a third series then? "Yes, it starts shooting in January (2016)," she says.

There has to be a 3rd season - the end of 2 leaves all up in the air, in a most interesting way. Danish stories often end without the happy USian closure we know all too well, but not this sort of mid-story complexity.

As for USian remakes, give us a break. Just watch the pros do it.
