Pretty good show so far. Kind of slow tho.
shareI've just started watching and I was curious, does anyone else think that the 'bad boy' looks like a Westerner/American? I just thought it he may be due to his size difference and hair color, maybe there will be more input as the show goes on.
shareThat was a good read. I was subconsciously thinking the same thing, and luckily the show addressed it. It is really a testament to the brilliance of the animators.
shareSentaro is a half-blood Japanese/American.
At the time (around 1952, seeing he's 15/16) there were a lot of American soldiers in Japan. His mother had him with an American sailor.
