How about a Christmas special?

Wouldn't be that hard, would it? And Gemma picks Billy and they spend the rest of the thirty minutes - maybe fortysomething, it is after all, a Christmas special - doing control damage and having warm, fuzzy, christmasy feelings all around.
Come on, why not, this could happen, it's not too late. The BBC is always picking up discarded shows and spinning new seasons on them.
*sighs*

Of course, bananas are far more interesting.

Not a bad idea. You're probably, like me, just catching onto this show since PBS (local, anyway) recently started running it. Since I missed episodes, last night I looked it up online and watched the whole thing in one sitting, and boy was I surprised at the finale! I already knew it was 2 years old and apparently a one-off, but NO, I didn't want it to end on a cliffhanger! So a Christmas special does sound pretty good. There are bound to be more of us out there who have just found it and want at least a resolution if not a 2nd series.

Nothing is impossible I suppose but, to revive a cancelled show on the strength of its North American appeal with only six episodes in existence seems a stretch. Shows like Keeping Up Appearances have had their established success prolonged quite a bit due to North American demand for their early series. It's a much tougher case to make when a show wasn't originally that popular in Britain.

There would need to be a groundswell of desire in the UK first and I just don't expect that. The British audience tends to move on; as does the creative team behind any given show. I'd certainly love to have the ending resolved properly for the Mrs Jones cast but I'm not holding my breath.

Eeek!!! I'm getting dressed.
