I like freaks.
They're good people.
Just watched all six episodes back to back, and I feel like it's elevated above the average "reality" program because you can't fake certain elements of this lifestyle. There are times you are in awe, there are times you feel sorry and sympathetic for these people, but this show truly seems to respect and embrace the 'freak' culture and gives it the exposure and acceptance it needs, which I think is a step in the right direction. You could argue that it is degrading and exploitative to stare at these "freaks," but the way these performers are cherished and celebrated is really admirable.
By the way, Morgue and Murrugun are freaking crazy. That episode where they're (literally) skewering themselves is amazing. And does anybody else think that the show is priming Morgue and Asia Ray to be together? I wouldn't be surprised either, since Asia is hot and Morgue seems like a pretty cool guy.
I wonder if Karl Pilkington is a big fan of this show?
