Awe not this 'talk to the camera' crap again!

Will that sh** ever go away?! The first episode was looking ok until that "office" stuff started. Rarely does it ever come across as funny and it just comes across pathetic and fake here. I loved the It crowd and most of what HBO churns out but I'm not really liking this at all right now. No wonder it won't get a second season. Ok, ok, Ok, tell me the show gets better.

Well, sorry, but in my opinion yes, it does. No blowing smoke. It's all very Christopher Guest.

thanks for the info, it just bugs me when I'm enjoying the pace of a show only to be interrupted by a character appearing in one of those reality tv-type confessionals every few minutes, it just feels cheap and very unnecessary, it snaps me out of whatever world the show has just created, but that's just my opinion, glad to hear it gets better

Well, Christopher Guest basically invented this sub-genre. It was "The Office" that was following in the tradition of Guest's earlier films so I'd say he has every right to use this technique.
