The characters are boring and unattractve, especially that moronic sidekick. The plot has played out endlessly and, as usual, Chritopher Guest has inserted the Jewish element for no reason. (Why do Christians not feel the need to introduce a 'born again' element into every movie or series?). This is so tedious but you can count on its showing up. He seems obsessed with his Jewishness. Even in BEST IN SHOW, he was off to a kibbutz for no reason after the show. It ruined the integrity of the film.

Anyway, the Guest humour? goes only so far and its limit has been more than reached. Mazel tov.

He said "please plonk me now." Done. You almost have to feel sorry for someone who has enough free time to persist watching something they don't like. Let's see, the Jewish element arrived in e06, so the OP had to endure 5 entire episodes to truly find something they didn't like.

Reminds me of the Annie Hall joke. "Boy, this food is horrible!" "Yeah, and the portions are small too."

In looking at this poster's history, She/he also has enough free time to be cheesed off by - and make a post about being cheesed off by - "The Price is Right" and "Family Feud."

Oy.

Please stop watching it if you can't stand it, and leave the show in peace.

Sounds like someone has an issue with Jews...

You are ignorant. The 'Jewish element' as you so revealingly describe it does have a point. Because you are the type too lazy to think it through, I'll explain it...the Jewish cowboy had a relationship with an American Indian. This is the common theme through the show, how two people from different cultures can come together (Tom's father and stepmom, the Civil War soldier who wore two uniforms just to be with the woman he loved, Tom's wacky pal Pete and his wacky sister with issues who didn't even know she liked Pete until Monkey told her, Fred Willard's character and revealed gay partner Kim, the Civil War re-enactor who liked his g/f to dress as a prostie, the great-cousin conspiracy theorist and his enema-giving wife, etc.)

The characters are not boring at all, they are kind and troubled and searching, just like Tom.

reply

There were no American Indians in his family history at all. The only love interest of the Jewish Cowboy was another actress (who he may have killed with the other 3), "backdoor" Billy and an unidentified 4th person.

if it was any good they'd have made an American version by now - Hank Hill
