Is that Aamir Khan's real body?

The body of a 50 year old Indian? I didn't notice any obvious special effects. What exactly is going on here? I don't understand.

I will now end this debate with you.

The extras on the companion DVD show him eating a healthy diet (spinach without salt!) and strength-training and weight-lifting with a personal trainer, apparently for many months, to lower his body fat index from 20% to 9%. Even more impressive to an American like me. Although my body mass index is 22, 95% of Americans are heavier, and most are unhealthy and overweight.

He also learned another Indian language, just for this film. That impresses me, as a monolingual American.

Aamir Kahn learns the background of his roles, he doesn't just recite lines in front of a camera then spend his evenings partying. He spent a lot of time learning about dyslexia for Taare Zameen Pa (Like Stars on Earth 2007) and I am impressed by that, too.

India is lucky to have such people as examples for its children, and the rest of the world is blessed by India's many contributions to global culture.
