One of the best...

I watched this on an international flight, and I was shocked--this is one of the best films I've seen this year... It has a very tight script with very believable characters and situations. Also, the throwback to the 90s brought back a lot of memories. I'm just a little saddened that most people outside of Korea have never even heard of this film.

I too watched while up in the skies haha ^^;

However, I disagree. It had moments where I thought it worked really well but on the whole, for me, it flopped a little. I felt the younger versions where more convincing, too. Bae Su Ji's primary career isn't even acting- she's a singer in the 4 member group miss A, after all- but I felt her portrayal of the young and precocious Seo Yeon worked really well. On the other hand, old Seo Yeon didn't strike me as anything particularly different or interesting, character-wise, and so found her boring to watch. The actor for young Seung Min, too, was really good.

Maybe it's just me, but I felt like this would have worked better without the modern day scenes in there. Of course, the entire plot would then need re-working but I feel like the film was weaker than it should have been.

I'm no film critic (nor would I want to be xD) and I tend to be quite picky with films so these are of course just my personal opinions. It's still a decent film, just not AS good as I thought it would be.
