'the office' type mysterious camera guy?

I'd like to think that the person filming this is irrelevant because it was only the film makers way of making this movie and not an actual character. I see a bunch of debates of his name on these boards... but no other character in the movie ever seems to acknowledge his presence. It's kinda like when you watch the office. Personally... I would have liked it better if they didn't go with the found footage/cam route, but I still enjoyed it. 6/10

I could be wrong... but only the crazy dude can actually see the camera man. So maybe we are just seeing evert hung from his eyes? Idk?

This type of movie only works as camera inception. If it wasn't filmed this way, it would make for a very boring film.

When they are in the basement eating popcorn. Matt says " Do you guys want any?" Implying there is multiple people behind the camera filming a behind the scenes type thing for them afterwards. Felt like it was shot in the way American Movie was made.
