The recount was stopped by the Supreme Court, which they shouldn't have done. They should've finished the recount. Also, the whole thing about Gore winning the popular vote while Bush the electoral vote shows this is a dumb system. It should be popular vote that wins it. All other elections work that way. This idea is outdated and needs to be changed.

Uh no...even the NY Slimes gave up trying to split hairs to make Algore the winner; as for the the 'electoral college' being obsolete, the idea was to make sure that smaller, less populated states don't get ignored or worse mob rule: if 51% says 'shoot' the 49%' what happens then?

Now if you are awarding electoral votes based on percentage of votes cast, that's an idea I can get behind.

You should, because that's the way to form your opinion, get new ideas and grow as a human being is listen to other people. But not just me. Talk to people, hear what their ideas are, think about what people are saying to you, and don't dismiss their ideas all together.

And the question was which of the two named presidents was the worst, so bringing in another candidate for the title isn't right here. Or elaborate on your candidate. Try to win people over. Not just yell and think you're always right.

I've lived through nine presidencies. Don't remember LBJ much as I was too young, but Nixon onward pretty strong memories - watched the Watergate hearings, returning troops, resignation speech, etc.. Fast forward Bubba Clinton was great - so what if he got a blowjob? Big effing deal! And he denied Bush Sr a 2nd term =) Seriously though, no one can compete with W for suckiness. Bumbling illiterate fool who reacted to 911 by reading Nellie the Goat then declaring war on the wrong people while coddling the Saudi oil sheikhs then stupidly declaring Mission Accomplished (etc. etc.) The parody of him in the Harold & Kumar movie isn't far off - maybe good guy to get high and party with, but totally crap President. Plus his administration contained satanic douchebags like Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld. I was constantly traveling around the world visiting and living in various countries during that time, and there was always a sense of "where are you from?" replied with "America... sorry" because what our President and his thugs were doing was a total embarrassment to the country. At least when Obama took over we regained pride in who we were.

No, but at least leave the damn room and go see what is going on. You don't alarm the children, just tell them that there are things a President has to attend to and this is one and they are safe and the thing he has to deal with they will get under control and he will return another day and read to them. Then leave.

Well considering many think Reagan the greatest president of the modern era I would have to say that your basic question is flawed.

Anyway, the answer is Obama at least for the modern era...at least runner-up Carter helped broker the Camp David Peace Accords...what has Obama done? Helped destabilize the Middle East. It's like the opposite of Carter: 2 leaders were coming together to find accord and Obama jumped in-between them just before they could shake hands. LOL
