Emmerich can't even attempt any subtlety with his interpretation of Obama as an action hero.

Obama could not find his way out of a paper bag let alone repel an enemy assault.

Obama is athletic so i'd say that he would do a helluva lot better in combat than that old windbag & freshly spray tanned Donald Trump would. Trump would have to buy his way out of a crisis situation.

The US president is supposed to be a civilian leader: he isn't meant to fight. Incidentally the idea that the president is Commander-in-chief, and therefore a military leader is entirely false. The head of state of every country is commander in chief of the armed forces - only in the USA does anyone presume that this gives the leader any military role.

You are correct sir or ma'am...LOL...Obama would be killed instantly while he begged for his life. He'd give the terrorists whatever they wanted as long as he believed they wouldn't hurt him. To see how it would play out watch Jack Nicholson in Mars Attacks! That's the perfect analogy for Obama.

Well, at the time of this film's release, Obama was President. I guess he wanted to honor the guy. Wonder if he handle our new President in a different way?
