The 3rd best Die Hard film yet.

Has everything that a great Die Hard has.

A down on his luck hero, caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Villains acting as one thing whilst keeping their true motives hidden. Die Hards 1 and 3.

Bonus points for being trapped in one location the whole time, and having a family connection to the hostages. Die Hard 1.

This is not at the same level as Die Hard 1 or 3, but I think it fits the franchise better than 2 and 4, and simply a far better movie than 5.

Thoughts?

LMFAO.

I watched this last night and WOW. In the middle I thought this is just like a die hard movie.

Under siege and Cliffhanger I though we're better.

My thought is you watched the cracked obsessive pop culture disorder video on YouTube and blatantly stole their idea :)

Yeah you caught me, I stole an idea from YouTube to use on an IMDB message board, cause that's where all the money and the glory is at. I couldn't possibly have noticed the similarities myself because these movies are so deep and difficult to analyse. The concept of a lone law enforcement officer single handedly fighting an army of bad guys went way over my head so I stole an idea from a YouTube channel (that I've never heard of) and posted it here so that no one would know.

LOL! You owned it! I especially love this part "and posted it here so that no one would know"

That's classic my friend!

Good thing you stole the idea bc I never noticed the connection before you posted it.
Lol, a 10 year old could see the comparison to die hard, so I don't think he "stole" any idea. Also add in the tshirts are similar, the media gives away identify of a hostage, the elevator shaft scenes, a helicopter shooting at good guys during a roof top rescue, a limo being crashed, etc. and no I have not seen the you tube thing the other poster referenced either. I know it's amazing that 2 or 3 people can see die hard references on their own.

Yep it reminded me of a Die Hard film BUT a terrible one.

...and we have a new game today, I think, dont we, Mac?

I have watched with external sound device woofer system.
This movie is packed with excitement and action- almost start to finish. But at the same time, a blatant ripoff of both Die Hard and Olympus Has Fallen.

I would prefer OHF more as it had more dazzling visuals and proper execution. (8/10)
