Pretty Surprising
Not the fastest moving action picture but as usual, WWE comes through with villains who are not one dimensional. Pretty good, well developed characters. Not everyone is all good or all bad. I'm always shocked that WWE, considering who the target audience is, consistently comes through with scripts that are entertaining but also feature more nuance in characterization than one would ever expect. Not bad at all.
SPOILERS
Having finished the film, I must amend my opinion. The last third of the film really cheaps out on the budget. We are promised a big set piece in downtown Seattle. That never happens. There's no big showdown. No really excitement. And the lead actor fails to ever become likeable (even really human) or wear anything but a dour grimace. He was really bad casting. I think this should probably be the last in the Marine series.
