Absolute garbage

I'd be surprised (dumbfounded, to be more accurate) if BBC even consider doing a second series of this. No doubt after one episode of airing it, they were probably already having regrets. So many things wrong with it:

- Acting
- Writing
- Stories/scenarios
- Humour
- Characters

And many other I could list. The whole thing is just cringeworthy, and rely on repeated gags after every episode - Khan being a cheapskate, and Dave being ginger. Rinse and repeat. And it's incredible how they even managed to get an accomplished actor like Kris Marshall on board. His talents are being wasted in a useless and incredibly unfunny show. I sincerely hope his career isn't damaged by this.

As a viewer, I can't help but feel insulted by it. Yes, it's that bad.

you sound like a harsh critic this series is loved by millions wishing its return for second season plus

reply

"Loved by millions"?!!! LOL. The writer of this re-constituted tripe should get you to write for the show. Funniest thing I've read in ages.

reply

I have to agree. I watched about 5 minutes of episode one and had to turn it off and just do something - anything - to take my mind off how ludicrous it is that something so *beep* could make it onto TV. I made a sandwich. Peppered beef and rocket with mustard on brown bread. Delicious it was. If you're bored by my sandwich making ramblings, I guarantee you'll find Citizen Khan worse.

reply

You bitches sound like you've just blown off a black dude... Calm down for *beep*'s sake. If you don't like the show, THEN DONT WATCH IT. Simples.

I'm genuinely curious; what do you see a forum as being?

The definition I have here from google is...

A meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.

reply

Spot on mate. Some people don't really 'get' the idea of a forum.

I notice Gorillaboi who began this thread in 2012 has yet to comment now the 2nd series has started in 2013. He truly must be dumbfounded. I, for one, am just annoyed the BBC is not listening to the viewers who pay for this tripe. There hasn't been a sitcom made by the BBC worthy of being in the Top 10 Best Ever since 2002 when The Office finished. Its a shame Kids in this generation are growing up watching funny-free telly sitcoms.

The BBC listened to the viewers who watched series one, in an off-peak slot, and promoted series two to prime-time Friday night.

The public have spoken!

reply

Wait wait wait wait wait...

This is series 2!?!?!? It actually had a series before this one!?

I'm gob-smacked. How... I mean why... bleugh...........

This woefully childish show loses well over a million viewers inbetween Have I Got News For You and Graham Norton. It gets 14% of the audience, which is about 2.6m viewers, which is poor for primetime. Yet, I think the fact it sells to foreign countries will ensure its continuation for years to come. So we'll be paying for a show that 86% of our viewing population hates.
